Doughnuts of Mardi Gras

Hi everyone ! I come back today to share with you my recipe of Doughnuts of Mardi Gras 🙂 I know it’s a little bit late but you can never have enough doughnuts 🙂


  • 500g flour
  • 50g sugar
  • 75g slightly salted butter at room temperature
  • 2 eggs
  • 25cl milk at room temperature
  • 20g baker’s yeast
  • peanut oil for fryingIMG_1785.jpg

In a mug: stir together the baker’s yeast and the milk for 15 min (After this 15 min the milk looks more fluffy)

In a large container:

  • add the flour and the sugar then mix
  • add the eggs and the fluffy milk
  • begin to knead the batter

When the batter is a little bit sticky you can add the butter



You obtain this kind of batter


You leave it for about 2 hours in a warm place


That’s it ! Your doughnut’s batter is ready

Now you can heating up the peanut oil, and when it’s hot enough you can do some balls with your batter and add them into your fryer IMG_1789.jpg

If your peanut oil is hot enough, the doughnuts will sink in the fryer and go back up after few second.

Your doughnuts are cooked when they look caramelized


That’s it !


You can add icing sugar for more taste
